The last couple of days I have been documenting my journey into work in what can only be described as quite epic sunrises. I am going to get some of the results up on my Flickr account (it’s about time I uploaded something to it!) but I thought I would give a sneak-peek in case I don’t get round to it for a while. Above are a couple of nice examples – I love the flare you get off the dirty train windows.

I got sent this today from a good friend of mine, who now lives in Hong Kong, with a nice little Xmas message – thanks Westy! It’s too good not to share. She’s got a blog too (as all us hip young kids have got), which you can visit here…but don’t forget to come back.
Tanya, if you read this I am trying to free some time before Xmas to return the favour.

You will notice I have developed a bit of a fetish for black and white illustration lately (ok, I know there’s red in there too!). Here’s another one. I have been toying with this idea for a while now, sketching out endless illustrations to get it to work. Turns out I was missing a trick and simplicity was the key. I’ve had a few requests to get it on a t-shirt; who knows, that might happen if I get enough requests.

If you have read my ‘about‘ page you will know I am lucky enough to work for a great design studio called Cog Design. This was a project I worked on recently at Cog, for the London Museums Hub, to showcase a survey they commissioned to gather information on museum visitor habits. This was a two colour job that was printed on an uncoated stock.

I spend a lot of my spare time (probably too much) sketching out ideas. Sometimes I get something down that I can’t wait to ink up. This was one of those.

Some time ago I entered a competition for Shelter House of Cards to design the 8 of clubs for a limited edition pack of cards. Shelter is a great charity and the winner got to exhibit alongside some great names from the art world. Unfortunately I didn’t win, but I did pick up a fair few votes – which is nice.
